Narmadeshwar Shivling with Nandi
Every set pairs an original Narmada river Shivling with a black stone Jaldhara and a Nandi hand-carved from the same stone — the complete darshan for a home mandir.

Carved from matching black stone
The Nandi is hand-carved from the same black stone as the Jaldhara, so the colour and polish match across the set instead of pairing a Narmada stone with a mismatched base.
Nandi seated facing the Linga
Nandi is placed in front of the Linga with its gaze resting on it. That orientation, not the corner of the room, is what tradition actually specifies.
Complete set, nothing sold separately
Shivling, black stone Jaldhara, gold-finished Naga hood and Nandi arrive together at one price. Nothing is a paid add-on.
Where the Nandi goes
Nandi is Shiva's vahana and gatekeeper, and the placement rule is simple: Nandi always faces the Linga. Put the Shivling in the northeast (Ishan) corner with the Jaldhara spout draining north, then seat Nandi in front of it so its gaze rests on the Linga.
Never turn Nandi away from the Linga, and keep the line between them clear. The tradition of whispering your prayer into Nandi's ear is exactly why that path is left unobstructed.
If your mandir shelf is shallow, our flat Yoni Pitha sets come without Nandi. They take less depth and the puja vidhi is unchanged.
Sets available with Nandi
Each set is one specific stone, so no two are alike. The photo is the piece you receive.

Common questions
Which direction should Nandi face with a Shivling?
Nandi always faces the Shivling. With the Jaldhara spout draining north, place Nandi in front of the Shivling on the south or west side so its gaze rests on the Linga. Nandi never faces away from Shiva.
Is Nandi necessary in a home mandir?
Not mandatory, but Nandi is Shiva's vahana and gatekeeper, and a set with Nandi gives you the complete darshan. We also offer sets on a flat Yoni Pitha without Nandi if your mandir shelf is shallow.
What stone is the Nandi carved from?
Our Nandi is hand-carved from the same black stone as the Jaldhara, so the colour and finish match across the set rather than pairing a Narmada stone with a mismatched base.
